So with zero court records of anyone being charged with a rape and/or murder, no newspaper articles on a person named Mary Jane going missing... oh, and no body to prove the rape/murder story to begin with, it should be obvious the whole story is just that. Just your standard creepy Louisiana no-where place.

Mary Jane's Bridge
Took my 15 yr old son to find this bridge a few weeks ago. We turned down Bayou Tourte Rd., and quickly came upon 2 small bridges, which we knew weren't what we were looking for...too many houses/lights. We were about to give up and turn around, as it was getting close to 11:00 at night and we were unfamiliar with the area but decided to go alittle further. We started passing some beautiful homes for a bit, and then it changed..... The area of the homes suddenly turned into a remote, very dark area - and then - there was the bridge. A little creepy, but not too much to write home about during this visit. While there was next-to-no traffic, there's really no place to pull over/park, and since it's curvy and dark, we didn't dare park. We've been back a couple of times, just because my son is really interested in ghost hunting, as am I. We went back just last weekend, crossed the bridge back and forth a couple of times. What we thought would be the last time crossing it for that evening, we both heard a woman screaming. We crossed 2 more times to see if we could hear it again and maybe catch it on audio but didn't hear it again. We will be back, as I have purchased some ghost hunting equipment for my son, and he is set to get something recorded. There is definitely an eerie feeling to the area, even for the short stretch that it is. You "just know" that something is there, but with no place to park, you can't really investigate the area.
