From 1909 to 1964, this building operated as the courthouse and then a headquarters for the Wildlife and Fisheries Museum. It became the Supreme Court of Louisiana in 2004 and is rumored to be haunted by several spirits. There are two ghosts that are always spotted together, possibly two witnesses who were shot in the courtroom during a Mafia murder trial in the 1930s. A ghostly man wearing a shirt and tie has also been spotted here late at night in a window on the third floor, and a female ghost has been known to linger outside the building, and can be heard crying. Some have even said her ghost has touched them.
