Faulkner House Books in New Orleans was first rented out by a writer named William Faulkner in 1925. Faulkner rented some rooms in this building located in New Orleans's French Quarter and those rooms now make up Faulkner House Books. Faulkner was unknown at the time he rented the rooms, however, the tiny bookstore is now a literary landmark that honors him. The book store is also known to be haunted by Faulkner himself. Witnesses have claimed to smell the author's trademark pipe tobacco in the book store and some have even reported seeing his image sitting at his original writing desk.
