Stories say that the ghosts that haunt the Ashley House next door to this hotel, also wander into the building to haunt the place. The ghosts here include a spirit that likes to play the piano, a mysterious spectral lady and ghostly Civil War POWs. Doors are known to close on their own and lights flicker throughout.

  • Loud noises and boom sounds above our room.

    At night and at all different times of the early morning loud boom sounds would rattle the walls in our room like someone was dropping bowling balls on the floor and Loud High healed foot steps on bare floors were heard then they would descend down a steel stairway. Now keep in mind that this place is all carpeted. Loud heavy steel doors were being slammed at 3:00 in the morning and more high heeled footsteps..all of these sounds sounded like they echoed from an upstairs ware house room.. The loud booms that happened every night were accompanied by very loud slamming of a very heavy door. Our whole room shook. I asked the people at the desk downstairs about all the noises every night and they said they would pass the information on.

  • Definitely haunted

    My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had our shower come in randomly and then it also shut off by itself (there is a knob that has to be turned). We also had a “doorbell” ring in our room but the room didn’t even have one.
